A typical day.
I’m a Cloud Engineer who spends my days assisting in the migration of legacy applications into AWS. My role focuses strongly on cloud infrastructure, account access and permissions, security and monitoring, along with code creation and implementing best practices. I’m constantly deep diving into issues and proactively leveraging relationships across the orginzation to ensure the best possible solution has been provided. In every situation I strive to earn trust by proving my expertise and delivering a response that can be understood by anybody regardless of skill level or ranking position.
The journey has been great & it's definitely not over!
Coming up in a family of veterans it was an easy decision to join and serve my country. I've always felt that my time in the military shaped who I am. I quickly found my place and was able to experience amazing things. I've been able to connect with people all over the world to train and ended up leading an amazing group of people.
What's the point of having a gift if you don't share it when you can? I've had the pleasure of coming up under the guidance of great mentors and I've always pushed to follow that example. I value the process of educating others and I stay committed to assist in great achievements.
I like to move-it move-it. I've been lucky enough to visit 21 states from California to New York. I've even visited countries like Germany, Panama, Honduras, and Korea. Anytime I can hit the road or rack up SkyMiles count me in.
I'm a tech junkie. I can spend all day watching videos of product rollouts. I love to go to different events and actually put my hands on the latest gadgets. It's even better when I can take them home #TeamAndroid ;)
I'm not sure how many architect you will find that enjoys picking up a hammer to assist in building a house, but that's me. I find my role constantly connecting with developers and by learning code here and there I've been able to elevate my knowledge on deploying and maintaing services in numerous ways.
These three are the reason I push so hard. I have a wife who is nothing short of amazing. She is my biggest supporter and has even rewarded me with two beautiful boys. I continue to grow and educate myself to stay marketable so that I am always in a position to provide for them. I am truly blessed!
